I dont know what this eye of THE needle hole you have mentioned. I doubt that is what Jesus meant because he said A needle, but whatever. This is the problem with ignorance of the original language in which Jesus spoke and English translation and rationalization to fit the need of the moment. Also he does not say anything about being saved he says the Kingdom of God. In any case you are dismissing what Jesus said about following the commandments is not enough, you need to unburden your possessions.
Anything to do with obsession with your body, emotions, and possessions is not about knowing your true self. It is being human. Knowing your true self is the essence of spirituality, and your true self is not your body, emotions, desires, or even your mind. To understand that takes effort, practice, and focus.
To understand your nonsense takes ignorance, superstition, and esoteric jargon with no connection to Reality.
Ayn Rand is more than merely political. It is an ideology that has very little space for spirituality.
Objectivism is not an ideology. It was a vain attempt (pun fully intended) by Ayn Rand to codify Ayn Rand's preferences, likes/dislikes, and fixations into some sort of set of principles, because stating that one has principles is more impressive than just a listing of what one approves and disapproves. Though a failure on rational grounds, it was highly successful in financial terms as well as in garnering attention and adulation.
Unsurprising
Actually that is immaterial to the topic.
