Correct, Epicurus appeared to have been a polytheist. But some Greeks also believed there was an ultimate god. Platon may have held this view.

I always find it stunning that people will put up with attributes in a God that they would not put up with in a parent. If a parent has the ability to keep their child safe and well, and fails to do it, that parent would be castigated. The God of the universe, all powerful, all-knowing, ever present fails to do it? Meh, who can know the mind of God?

Off topic. The discussion is about fair and unfair. E.g. grossly disparate distribution of talent, health etc.

A loving god wouldn't allow that to happen, but it does happen. Ergo, no god exists. Can't be both ways.

So you're just another coin in your god's piggy bank. How humiliating.

I can't put you back in grade school. If your education was that deficient, perhaps you should go back for a do-over"
You simply stating an opinion as fact proves nothing. You're making assumptions. So back up the assertion, please.

I disagree. So who is right?

Apparently his believers get the shaft at about the same rate as non believers. So what advantage do believers have on this plane over non-believers?

Fairness is intrinsic to goodness.

Either gods aren't good, or they just plain aren't (don't exist).
What is fair? A two year old having a temper tantrum screaming: "It isn't fair!!!"
