He's a Christian. I know it. You know it. Everyone knows it.

Everyone knows that you know it, and everyone knows that you know that everyone knows you know it.

You're playing the sort of game here that eight-year-olds play (but only relatively immature eight-year-olds).

You're being quite dishonest. Your pretense is nothing short of a lie. Isn't that something - lying - that you pretend is something that shalt not do?

How? He never identifies as one. All we see is s short clip of him speaking. He sure LOOKS like an atheist taking the passage out of context.

Again. Watch the video. In the context he says to someone "If you're going to throw around Christianity...."

He wasn't the one "throwing around Christianity. He was the one mocking it and ripping a verse out of context. This CLEARLY shows he wasn't the one advocating for it. He's the atheist mocking the religious.

It's amazing -- and concerning -- how you just can't leave slavery alone. You're like the guy who keeps saying, "Well technically..."

And it's amazing how you just can't admit you're wrong. When I point out something clearly you try to change the subject and throw an ad hominem in. I get it. You're just that way.

Because some of us are completely on the right side of history when it comes to slavery, while a few are trying to walk a tightrope because of something Jesus said, which to them makes certain types of slavery a-ok.

Sorry, phet. There's nothing about your worldview that makes you qualified to lecture anyone else on morals.

That said, you still haven't accepted the point I made. You simply ducked the point and went on a tangent. The video posted is not consistent with the OP's title of this thread. It is misleading. I want to think he simply didn't know it and wasn't trying to be dishonest.

The important thing here -- the moral point -- is slavery. Not that someone may have inappropriately titled the thread.

Which is worse,

To be a slave to a vice such as pornography, or to be a slave in the traditional sense?

Another christian who can't quite say that slavery is wrong (at least based on that post).

I think the horse is dead by now, but let's keep beating it!

As I've made abundantly clear in this thread already; no I would not presume to make such an absolute and unqualified statement as "slavery is wrong". I think anybody who would do that is either ignorant or hypocritical.

I would certainly concede, as I've already done here, that certain forms of slavery are wrong - and that certain practices that have been associated with slavery are wrong.
