I go through spells but overall, I don't have to research every jot and tittle so to speak. For instance, take predestination vs free will. Which one is it? Get this - I don't have to figure that one out. I mean, maybe one day I will but I don't feel some deep need to do it at the moment or in the near future. It's enough for me to say "I don't understand how they both could exist simultaneously but then, I'm not God so I don't HAVE to understand it."
Your position is perfectly fine because it is perfectly fine for you. That makes it "not so complicated." as the OP titles says.
But from there one cannot also assert it "does not have to be complicated" or that it is needlessly complicated.
The fact is it IS complicated, because I believe there is no "free will" as such. There are many, many reason that not all of us have all the options open to us to make a choice, exercise free will. Many times the choice is made for us. Free will has no meaning.
Spirituality is complex because we have to do the work, and it is the work itself.

OK. Like I've said, if I treat others the way I want to be treated, that keeps me plenty busy.

Don't assume I haven't wrestled with these concepts - I'm just past that point in my spiritual life.
