The most basic would be because there obviously is something responsible for all existence, life, and our consciousness which at a minimum would be defined as God.

Yes. He does. What exactly are you looking for in an explanation?

God is a comedian playing to an audience that's too afraid to laugh/Voltaire

I love that saying!

Says who, god must exist? Certain number of people, that can't come up with a better explanation to questions, burning them from the inside - Who am I? Why I am? Where all came from? What is my role in all?

Also, OP{, you have rather vague question as, it really depends on what god, in particular, are you referring to? Chronos, eater of his own children? Odin? Quetzalcoatel? Osiris? A mossy rock under bodhi tree? Hanuman? Names are in thousands and thousands....

Nobody can "prove" to you that God exists. That's why it's called "a belief." As it says in the Babylonian Talmud, "Everything is in the hand of Heaven except the fear of Heaven." You make your own belief choices.

On a practical level, if you keep an open mind and pay attention to what's going on in your life, at some point you stop thinking that everything is just a coincidence. You start seeing a guiding hand in your life. You see that everything that has happened to you, however random it seemed at the time, had a clear purpose. Once you realize that, you start believing in God.

Not necessarily. At all. There are other belief systems. But you probably don't realize that since you live in a bubble.

There is a fairly decent list of arguments for (and against) the existence of god here to get you started:

How else would the true and final justice be served to the wrong doers who have hurt others and gotten away with it?

Things seem to run in a certain balance in the entire universe otherwise, it would be a total chaos and full disaster.

If injustice is done, and local law of the land couldn't catch or punish it, how will it balance out? God's final and true justice is the only hope. And for that to happen, God must exist.
