Nothing happens that God did not predestine. This is not only logical given His omniscience and omnipotence, but something that is thoroughly supported in the Bible.

If everything is God's will and nothing we do can ever change the course of our predestination, then why did God give us free will and a conscious?

We don't truly have free will. As for conscience, that word literally means "with knowledge." It's another way of talking about the knowledge of good and evil. It's the very thing of which God warned Adam and Eve if they ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Because when they did, their eyes were opened, and they saw they were naked, and ran. And that's a metaphor for man's knowledge of good and evil. It's that evil in us that separates us from God. But in Christ, we have a full and free pardon for all sins. There is no type or quantity of sin that can separate the born again child of God from Him, as we who have been born of God are dead to sin by the body of Christ.

So it's o.k. for those born again in Christ to steal an 80 year old woman's purse or scam an old man out of his life savings?

Are you sure we are talking about God? Because that sounds more like the devil talking to me.

It's not that it's "o.k." to do these things, just that there is no condemnation for them for those who are in Christ.

That was exactly what the mentally ill psychopath that kidnapped, raped, and strangled the little 6 y/o girl was thinking as well.

Those truly in Christ would repent and try to correct their wrongs wouldn't they? Or do they just continue to spend their victim's money knowing that they are going to heaven no matter what crappy thing they do?

I think that it is quite possible to fall out of grace.

God does not want us using his name as a shield for our own misdeeds.

If you reject the truth, it's to your own destruction. I've said my part.

God is good. Why would God destroy his children for doing what Jesus would do in a situation?
