There is no complexity to it. An atheist does not believe in the existence of divinity, a belief that he first has to believe in order to unbelieve it. Or deny it. Whichever comes first. There you have it, and welcome.
That is not correct. Some of the atheists who post here were once religious and later came to disbelieve what they had been taught. Others were raised by nonreligious parents and never had any religious beliefs.

This is well documented in several threads in the A&A forum. You're welcome.

Oh! Don't get me wrong! I don't think I can explain anything to you...

Might just be for others to consider as they wish, or frankly I forget myself sometimes. I really should know better.

LOL. That's interesting. One night after meditations and chanting I asked the Thai Theravada monks in Colorado (4 of them) if they expected to reach enlightenment in this lifetime. "Oh no. Not possible".

I can go looking for that post but i am sure you remember it. No I dont know how a Buddhist thinks and acts. So i cannot tell you how to be a Buddhist, sorry. It looks like you missed an opportunity.
Go ahead be foolish, why stop now. Tell us how to be a good Hindu.
Since you can't tell us how to be a Buddhist...stop telling us how to be a Buddhist. You are not all-knowing.

For the benefit of one poster...I related a part of this conversation. It was not the entirety of the conversation.

It's simple: Atheism is a Religion based upon the Doctrine & Belief that God does not exist.

They are wrong...but it's still their devout Belief.
