With all due respect, may I ask how you see this thread any different from the one that continues in similar fashion titled, "In God we care."

the topic for this thread is "Quotes from Hindu teachers"

"For the soul, there is never birth nor death.
Nor, having once been, does he ever cease to be.
He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing, undying and primeval.
He is not slain when the body is slain.”
---Bhagvadgita

Study of scriptures, worship of the divinity, doing good deeds, all lead to blessings.
Liberation from dukkha, the cycle of death and birth, is only attained by realizing Oneness with Atman.
—Shankara

"You are neither consciousness nor its content. You are the timeless Source. Find a foothold beyond and all will be clear and easy."

Awareness is prior to consciousness.

"Awareness is there before the 'I am' (or consciousness) appears, and is there after the consciousness disappears (unconsciousness or death)."

---Bill Morgan on Nisargadatta Maharaj's Difference Between Consciousness & Awareness

"So the consciousness and the pure awareness are quite different really, although the consciousness can only exist because of the prior shining of pure awareness. The awareness, on the other hand, does not depend on any way whatsoever on the consciousness, and is not even touched by it. The consciousness comes and goes, waking and sleeping, birth and death, but the awareness is always there."

Consciousness (the biological consciousness that comes and goes) is completely absent in deep sleep. Our body is essentially inert. Awareness is always shining, is always within, and is how, when we awake, we know we slept.

Default Self-Acceptance.

"When you gain a certain maturity, you become more objective. There is a certain subjectivity in every person. To the extent you reduce the subjectivity, to that extent you are objective. It is easy for an objective person to accommodate the world, the people, and oneself."

-- Swami Dayananda Saraswati.

"The secret of effective prayer is to change your status from beggar to child of God; when you appeal to Him from that consciousness, your prayer will have both power and wisdom." - Paramahansa Yogananda
