Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence...
I am not the thought, the intellect, ego, nor the mind;
Not the ear, the tongue, nose nor the eyes;
Not the space nor the earth, not the fire nor the wind.
The very form of Bliss, I am blessed, I am blessed.
“He alone knows to whom He will reveal Himself under which form. By what path and in what manner He attracts any particular man to Himself with great force
is incomprehensible to the human intellect. The Path differs indeed for different pilgrims.”
No death for me nor caste or creed,
Neither father nor a mother, nor birth,
No kin, no friend, no guru nor a student,
The very form of Bliss, I am Blessed, I am Blessed.
— NirvanaShatakam by Shankara.
#2 and this are my loose translations.
Mind is a continuous flow of thoughts.
All those thoughts are of only two types.
“This” thought and “I” thought.
“I know this is a book.”
The subject and objects.
Objects change rapidly, the subject “I” remains the same.
All thoughts depend on the single I thought.
Therefore the mind is made up of only one I THOUGHT.
Only with the I THOUGHT we know anything.
In deep sleep I THOUGHT subsides, we know nothing.
I THOUGHT rises upon waking and we create the world of objects and names.
If we want to QUIETEN the mind, as in meditation, we need to understand the I THOUGHT, because that is all that the mind is made of.
