Try not to be a God Hater which is so prevalent at this present day.

Light, what your reaction to there not being a single mention of Jesus in the secular historic record from the 1st century? If Jesus was so well known as all four gospels say, then why did not a single historian or culture outside the Bible record the 3-hour supernatural darkness over the entire world?

One can only imagine the blowback if one decided to start a thread suggesting that Mormonism, or Islam, or virtually any other religion or heck, even Atheism were like a "virus"

Someone once asked Bart Ehrman when he was going to do a book on Mohammed and he replied, "When I get tired of living."

Isn’t Mormonism just a branch of Christianity?
Accept that they’ve just added the Book of Mormon onto it.

Of course it is. It is the "Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints."

The fact that THAT is all you took from my statement speaks volumes.

He wasn't responding to your post. He was responding to Derek.

There's a lesson to be learned here.

Ok, we can test that theory.

I suggest that ALL religions behave like a virus. Like viruses, religions exploit biological vulnerabilities and infect people. Eventually, whole populations become infected by person-to-person contact.

"Atheism" isn't really a thing. It just a lack of believing in fairy tales.

There are no "a-Santa-Claus-ists". There are just normal adults who don't believe in Santa Claus. We simply call non-believers in Santa Claus "normal".

The term "atheism" is meaningful only in societies where religion is dominant, like here in the US. In more educated societies where religion is less dominant (much of Europe), a lack of religion is just considered normal.

There are good/bad viruses. There are good/bad people. There are good/bad behaviors. There are good/bad things religions have done.
