I can't disagree with this more! First, the teachings of Christ were of love and tolerance.
Christianity has lead humanity toward equaility and enlightenment. Compare Christian societies with with those of Islam, Jewish, Confusist, Atheist etc.

I've taken very few humanities classes during my academic career but the first one, "Intro to humanities" touched upon Mithra. I was pretty shocked. The 12 apostles, death and rising, born of a virgin, etc. It was like a carbon copy.
