Well, my first (and greatest) romantic love called me "Angel" as a pet name. I was 28 when we got together and when we broke up I felt like I would never fall in love again. One day while talking to my (newly made) best friend I started softly crying.
"What's Wrong?" she asked concerned.
"It's stupid, but I just realized that no one will ever call me Angel again," I said.
"Well, that's not stupid, Angel," she smiled with my new nickname. She introduced me to new people by "Angel" instead of my legal name and it stuck. It made me feel loved when people called me Angel. A few years have passed and the nickname has been discarded as I rarely see my old friends anymore (I moved on to a new location, new life), but whenever I see someone from that time in my life and I hear them call out "Hey, Angel" my face shines like a lighthouse on a foggy night!
I also love dolphins and the same friend who nicknamed me Angel after my breakup was jogging with me along the bay on my birthday and a dolphin jumped out of the water, crossing a rainbow, and diving back in. She told me "That's a sign of your blessing." It had been such a rough year for me, I needed something like that. She gave me a card that year with an angel and dolphin in front of a rainbow. Hence: Angel and the Dolphin.

Great.. not only do people not enjoy my posts... they equate it to being at the dentist.
now see I love "bigthirsty" because i associate it with the big cold ice tea drinks that Wendy's use to have the "Big Gulp" and one of my favorite things in all of life is ice tea, so all sorts of positive connotations for me, i see a big cold drink, yum
and for "little thirsty" I see the little kiddie size cups i used to get the kids when they were tiny, and that has all sorts of fun memories for me too!
Call me crazy, but I actually don't mind the dentist...I've almost fallen asleep in the chair a couple of times. BUT I've never fallen asleep reading one of your posts!
i didn't use to like going to the dentist but now i do because the same practice includes accupuncture so i can be receiving accupuncture, needles in, during all dental work. i love it. and it is all covered by my insurance! even better!

(that's how i remember my license plate, someone told me to come up with really racy acronyms and I would never forget them, it's worked for the last 30 years with lots of moves!)

there's also "ski bum slob" or "skate king benches" come to mind, other places you might try to pick up dates, or strut your particular brand of coolness and attitude
