It is easier to believe in Jesus since he was a real person than it is to believe in a god who refuses to show himself. Jesus was after all, a historical figure and god was whatever people made up about him.

Jesus told us, if you have seen Him you have seen the Father. When Jesus appeared to Thomas after His death on the cross, Thomas said to Jesus, "my LORD and my GOD." Jesus is God who came to us in the flesh, and the Scriptures are clear on this.

Well that appears to be more of a humanistic belief. The Bible seems to differ on that.

Proverbs 14:12

There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

but you put faith in jesus which he is a man that died but what did god say:

Psalm 146
1Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

2While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.

3Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

4His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.

5Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:

6Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
