Only thing I need to remember - My God is an AWESOME GOD!! Now that should go in bold! My Faith is 100% in God my Saviour. No doubts, no worries - I know that he is the Way the Truth and the Life!!!
If all the icecaps were to melt the ocean levels would raise, depending on which scientist you go by, about 20 feet. If the aquifers were emptied it would go up several more feet. If the water was warmer it would raise even further.
The belief is that at that time the oceans weren't as deep and the mountains weren't as high. Only a very small amount of the earths surface was above water to begin with.
Under those circumstances there would be no problem flooding the entire earth.
And the sky is blue.
So, what you are saying is that all the continents and mountains rose, and the oceans deepened to what we have at present since Noah's time? You know this how? Personally I think you are just making it up as you go along.
I think alot of animals we see today are derived from theory of evolution, maybe back then there werent as many animals as there are today...
over time animals evolved accordingly to their environments. who knows, black or white (not being specific, just using a broad idea) people didnt exist either...there was just 1 color....until we began migrating to different parts of the earth. hello!

1000-2000ft= hill.
2000+ ft= mountain.
29000 ft=mt everest
28253 fr=K2
28169 ft=Kangchenjunga
....
4000 years ins't nearly enough time for the formation of these.
The biggest problem here and one which creationists refuse to see is that science looks at nature to form ideas. As soon as you try to explain away everything in the bible and try to pass it off as having a natural explanation, you get rid of god.

Based on a uniformitary timescale that is. And of course this is your opinion.
This is your cue to propose an opposing mechanism capable of making peaks over 8km high.
I'm guessing it will be something like the blast from the underground ocean caused great shards of land to be thrust upwards as it flooded the earth and drown every living thing except for Noah who was prepared for this to happen with his arc. The upward thrusts of land we now know as mountains.

It's quite interesting you see, I have a floor-mate from Nepal and if you look at the Himalayas you can see why the mountains are lined up the way they are. If you take a look at the tectonic plates and consider their movement you notice that at that particular spot the Eurasian and Indian plates are pushing against each other.
Shouldn't these people also reject our theories on what causes earthquakes?
They probably do but I put up a link to a map some time ago that showed the locations of earthquakes over a period of time and they lined up with the borders of the tektonic plates that are pressing against each other. I know they just can't stand the thought of a geological process that goes on for millions of years but the facts speak for themselves and science has an enormous amount of information on geological history and it's not a series of events that just took a few thousand years.
