Assuming he ever existed, which I personally think he didn’t, I would think your theory has a good base to stand on. It would be no different than the people who pull an unloaded gun on a policeman in order to have someone else to kill them.

let me give it a try - the mods may sack it for being off topic:

given the knowledge available today and the consciousness developed to grasp it:

do we not all "die", whether it's committing suicide or homicide?

Knowing that energy can not be lost?

sacrifice is not suicide....suicide is giving up on life, sacrifice is making life possible for others.

these are - imho - useless afterthoughts. justification sought instead of trust recognized ...

you may have to help me out with chapter and verse from the Bible.
Jesus spoke about a new and eternal trust being established..

these words i (personally) needed to understand the interconnectedness of everything in the universe.

needed them to understand whatever little (to my rather undereducated mind, but yearning "soul") advanced science is offering in this regard..

recognized: click - there it has been all the while! and giving it recognition ever since, you bet.

I think it would be a martyr not a suicide.
