New World, american english, protestant religion churches
do believe in adult baptism or adult circumcision,
because
citizens are educated into a religion by school tests,
but citizens are not born into a religion by genealogy heredity.
The son of a king is not a king.
The son of a slave is not a slave.
The son of a rich money millionaire zillionaire is not a rich money millionaire zillionaire.
The son of a doctor, lawyer, scientist, or Albert Einstein astrophysicist is not a doctor, lawyer, scientist, or Albert Einstein astrophysicist.
By contrast,
the pre-Columbian,
Old World Europe
do believe that
the son of a Catholic is a Catholic or
the son of a Jew is a Jew or
the son of a king is a king,
(as, for example, Prince Charles and Princess Diana,
except for what is his name king who abdicated around World War Two to run off with an american actress or something, IIRC),
because of genealogy heredity,
infant baptism or infant circumcision.
Which is much the same as to believe that the son of a slave is a slave in antebellum, Confederate States of America, cotton plantation, slavery.
Please remember that New World, american english, protestant churches did not exist before 1492 A.D. calendar,
("in 1492 columbus sailed the ocean blue"), or else Queen Elizabeth 2nd will send James Bond 007, His Majesty's Secret Service, with the truth to make you free, Gospel of John, Holy Bible.
Hard Vocabulary List:
Antebellum slavery
Pre-Columbian america
Aztec Quetzalcoatl
Common-law history precedent
Bible

I haven't a clue about what the OP is referring to but the idea of adult baptism correlated with adult circumcision is further convincing me that I have no intentions of ever becoming baptised.

Well at least an adult has a choice of being circumcised or not.
I think cutting parts off babies should be outlawed.

Oh no, not another unintelligible thread! I don't quite get the drift of this one but it sounds painful.

Yeah, maybe, I'm not sure. I don't recall being asked if I wanted to be circumcised when I was a baby (Hey Dude, you up for a little surgery?) but then of course I didn't speak english at the time. I was actually baptized when I was in my early teens and not as a baby.

Here is another thread by someone else about the same subject in
Christianity subforum:

Who are the Elect?

My history knowledge is that the
Pilgrims
did want to start a
City on a Hill
with the
Mayflower Compact
when they did land at
Plymouth Rock
in the New World after they sailed away from persecution in the Old World.
.
After surviving the first Thanksgiving and living a while in the New World, they did debate, then took a vote, to decide if their children would automatically inherit their elect status.
.
The vote was "no" or "nay".
.
A child of an elect of GOD does not automatically inherit elect of GOD status.
.
They were well educated in Bible, so they must have remembered
One Samuel, chapter 8, verse 3,
among many other references about inheritance, in both Old Testament and New Testament.
