I was reading on some other threads recently, views such as, how God is in control and wants some people to die in plane crashes while he takes control of another plane and saves everybody.
If there are Christians who feel God took those who have died straight to heaven to be with him, why are they not jumping for joy at funerals? I mean surely its a case for the greatest rejoicing, far happier than a wedding and definitely far happier than a birth. It means that for whatever reason, God decided that they had proved themselves worthy, that their testing, their endurance on this earth was over. Even though they may have been young people with parents and the rest of life to look forward to, God spared them all that.
Isnt it hypocritical to be sad if our sole reason for being here is to prove to God that we love him and gain entry to heaven?
