During my time here on City Data, if there is one thing that I've noticed, it's the fact that if I had to "give my life to Christ," I am going to end up on the wrong side of someone else's Christianity. Just believing in God is apparently not good enough. It comes down to how you believe in him and what do you believe about him. The same goes for Jesus, followed by how you interpret the scriptures and the subsequent do's and don'ts.
Where's the appeal?
So should we just ignore and give up on the idea of truth? Is there a right/wrong way? Should we not be concerned with what God expects of us?
Ditto to this! I think the majority of Christians (and people in general) would be better served by trying to connect with their sense of self instead of trying to reach out to some sort of God.
Post #2 was referring exactly to this, religious beliefs aren't the only thing people would like to push on others.
I think there is something inherently sick and morbid about those rapture believing Christians that cannot wait for the so called end to come, even though to them it means death and eternal damnation for literally billions of people (nonbelievers) in the world. To me they are ghouls.
Okay, let's play that game.
I think there is something inherently sad and distressing about those stubborn non-believing atheists that cannot wait for the so-called Rapture to come to take away all of those irritating Christians. Even though to those atheists it means death and eternal damnation for them and literally billions of people (non-believers) in the world. To me they are deceived.

You're up.
How could you await something you don't believe in?

I'll bite....That has to be one of the lamest statements I've heard here. No atheist believes in the rapture. It ain't gonna happen so why would we think that?

But remember, all nonbelievers worship Satan and in turn, want all the Christians removed from the earth.
If there is a God and he wrote the Bible, the fact that people interpret it in 1000's of different ways, means he has to be one of the poorest communicators in history.

So true.
