I have not seen Zeitgeist. Saw the first clip - my only concern was if what I was listening to actually authoritative. The narration covers many coincidences around 25 Dec etc which seem to be quite interesting.
Nothing against you Funky - one thing this clip (or was it the scotch) did was make me sleepy - am off to bed - I may catch up on others later. Was interesting though - thanks.

This video is really popular and there is a lot of heated debate about it going on over youtube. Thought you all might like it. Religion is just one topic it covers actually.
I remember watching this movie a couple years ago. It brings up some interesting ideas. I found the roots of religion stuff to be pretty intriguing.
9/11 is another topic, correct? It presents some very interesting questions. I'll just say this with regards to 9/11, there are many questions that did not get answered by the 9/11 commission report. Another good documentary on that is 'Loose Change'.
I found myself questioning the validity of some of the ideas. At the very least, however, it brought up some very intriguing ideas which prompted further investigation. Again, I watched this a couple years ago, so take my review for what it's worth.
The main thing I got from the religion part of the movie, is that the stories of the Bible are probably metaphors. The Bible tells tales of men and women who did things, but most of these are metaphors most likely. Back then, almost every religion had metaphorical tales they would tell to illustrate other phenomenon, nowadays people just don't talk or think in this way as much.

From your statement you sound like you are unsure.
I tried to watch the clip, but it was kind of boring.

We are all unsure. Nobody knows the truth about the Bibles' specific details unless they were there. You should never claim to be sure of something when it is impossible.
I would say almost totally for sure though, that the tale of Adam and Eve was NOT meant to be taken literally. I think this is obvious. And when I read other biblical stories, such as Moses, I see that they are full of things that are obiously eant to be metaphorical. But of course either way, none of us can be sure.
Does anyone have enough of an attention span to watch the video? It's not even ten minutes.......

From my teachings and what the channeled messages reveal, most of the stories in the bible have been twisted to suit what men of new generations want them to say. They were originally written by men like a journal and not to be taken literally. The story of Adam and Eve was written years after they had been gone. We do have a message from the original writer. Revelations was a vision and not meant to be taken literally. And it was written by three different people. John was killed before the Masters death so he couldn't have written anything pertaining to the years after Jesus was baptised. Moses led people from slavery and kept them in the desert so that they could overcome slavery and not carry it to the future generations. Noah and the flood never happened. If so, Australia would not have the aboriginals nor the culture it does today.
