A child may grow without the knowledge of sin to its understanding..but it consciously has the feeling and doubt that an act is an act of sin.. A good example as a child, we may not have a knowledge that what we are committing is a sin but we do feel the pressure, we kept somethings to ourselves without informing our parents for we know that it is wrong but we are just unconsciously knowledgeable why..? in one point a person doesn't need to learn a sin for sin is in the very nature of man..in a single term it is conscience that shakes man when committing a sin..but still conscience may be seared..but it doesn't removed the fact of it sinful nature
But it states that without the law, we are not aware of sin. It is thus not the nature of man but the law that tries to condemn man and make him feel he is unworthy. That flies in the face of the creation story where god always says it is good.
IOW we learn sin it is not inherently in us. However, that is all part and parcel of the tree of knowledge, we learn experientially but when we make mistakes, we are not to eat of the tree or as I put it dwell on the tree. You learn, you move on and try not to do it again. Most cultures have some form of self discipline. As you get older you tend to make fewer mistakes.
The problem with religion it likes to keep reminding one of our shortcomings and fail to recognize that which we do well. Human nature I am afraid will always remember the one time you blew it and forget the 9999999 times you got it right. Religion then invents rules to try manage this and justify the condemnation of that one or few transgressions.
Jesus kinda blew this all away by demonstrating forgiveness to all in spite of what it was they may have done wrong, He always said go and sin no more, he never judged.
John 3:17
Read it again and try and understand, by following his teachings, his character, we are saved, not from hell but rather from ourselves and especially the church who are always quick to judge anyone that does not play to their rules. The belief in Jesus is not that he is god but that he is a model for us to emulate.
It’s based on the most important decision you’ll ever make not on past deeds. It’s your choice, not someone else’s.
No supposedly you go to hell if you are a sinner. Correct? So say if someone's only sin is say stealing one candy bar when they were 12, should they be tormented and tortured forever. Infinite punishment for finite crimes because a rib-woman was convinced to eat the fruit from a magical tree by a talking snake.....yeah makes perfect sense.

The entire hell thing is a big charade. Look at all the "born agains" on death row, they would tell you they are saved from hell. In other words live your life as you see fit, you can be saved from hell during the last few minutes of your life. Stop worrying about an afterlife enjoy today.

Grace is wonderful, isn't it? A murder, or just a wretch like you or me are able to be saved if we repent and trust the savior.
The question is whether or not they have truly repented, and truly trust. That is between them and God.

"A wretch like you or me"????
What makes us humans wretches? I think that we humans are magical, powerful creatures. Not wretches.
You hardcore Christians always grovel before God and believe that you are powerless and at God's great mercy. This perspective is so bad for us. Christians seem to have a very low idea about how powerful we are as humans.
We have the power. We are in control. We are the deciders of our fate. When we realize this and act on it, we unlock one of life's greatest secrets.

WRONG. We are all sinners, some of us are just saved sinners.
According to a lot of religious folk, it doesn't matter if you act morally, it only matters if you believe in their god. Most atheists/agnostics are moral folk, although that doesn't seem to matter, they'll burn for eternity just because they didn't believe in god.
Very true. And I believe it is a very stupid belief too.
You could go around killing people, raping women and children...but you will fine as long as you believe in God. :-)
