They say everyone is intuitive - How do I get there? I think the answer is through meditation - What is the best way to learn to meditate? There are so many options. It is confusing. I am really struggling with getting into the metaphysical world and cannot find a mentor or a way to determine what it is all about. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated

You're right, there are so many options that it can be confusing, my suggestion to you is to learn a process of meditation that you are comfortable with, even if you have to come up with your own, there is no wrong way to do it, it's what you feel comfortable with and what is best for you, however, do not rush into this and be very patient, it will come to you when the time is right.

Thank you for your response - I have read on OM Yoga meditation, of Daisy Pond, picturing a special place, of going down stairs and into different doors of my mind, listening to Buddist meditation CD's, listening to Chakra CD's for aligning my Chakras, and on and on. Nothing seems to be working. I don't feel like I am making that connection. I just feel like I am sitting there with my eyes closed, trying to quiet my Monkey Mind but not making any connection to meditating. What am I doing wrong?

You're letting fear guide instead of letting everything just flow. Just be in the moment and relax, forgettting the past and the future.
It's hard to get started. It took me a while as I was holding onto my past. Listen to your breathing and it will relax you.
I also have an Akashic Construct cd I use once in a while. It's AWESOME to get started with. You can buy one here www.board.1111angels.com and you can also get some very good advice from other members.

There are just about as many ways to meditate as there are people, as PSTUM suggested, find a way that works for you. This may take time to do however meditation should never be difficult to do, if you find yourself struggling with it then that isn't the meditation for you. Experiment with different ways, if needed modify it to suit you.
Some people struggle with meditation because they are focusing on the meditation instead of what you want to accomplish. Focus on the goal of your meditation not on how you get there.

Many places, many forms, many strengths. Thus begins your journey.

They turn on your neurons.

All of them.

First do some research. Try checking out the nearest university library. You will find a lot of different takes on religion, moreso than you will likely find on internet, and will be able thus to better decide what is right for you if anything. After having decided, you need to pick one method and stay with it, be patient, if you expect any results to manifest.
