Has your country gone the route of the USA with Sexual Hedonism being the favorite pastime , the exploiting of another for a mere copulation, worship of the human body as an idol , along with 33 sexually transmitted diseases with 2 being fatal ? Or , is there still honor, respect, and some sacredness to the issue of Sex where you reside ? Im curious to know if this still exists today in the world. Thank you.

Well, here in France unfortunately we are in the same boat as in the US, even worse I think : people probably don't do more sex as elsewhere, but how they boast about it, they are the best lovers, they can do it ten times on a row, and they have no taboo, etc., for some it's as if Sex was a religion -absolutely sickening. And I noticed these people look neither happy nor funny, (nor healthy nor actually smart) I think their Nihilist philosophy is eating at them.

Wouldn't that be a nice place? I think that it might be a bit like looking for Utopia, though -- especially with the 'wiring' of the whole world. We have so much information available instantly... which is good, but the problem is not all the information is good.

In a way, I respect nations or cultures that are resistant to 'western philosophy/lifestyle.' Not that everything about western philosophy/lifestyle is bad, but it does have some rather bad aspects, IMHO (one of which you point out here). Of course, 'bad' is subjective. Luckily we do still have the right to call something bad if we so choose. I'm not sure how long that will be the case, though.

REPLY: The problem of sexual hedonism isnt based directly on the information age as i see it ; although the Internet is a prime Source for Pornography and Stalking. I see the problem being with peoples hunger for Narcissism and apathy toward living responsibly and civily.

Of course, 'bad' is subjective.

REPLY: In reality, 'bad' (immorality) is objective but people choose to suppress thier Moral Conscience to get what they want and reconstitute it as subjective .

Luckily we do still have the right to call something bad if we so choose. I'm not sure how long that will be the case, though.
REPLY: I dont think its a lucky thing to call something bad 'if we choose' ; thats how a nation gets morally corrupted ... with everyone doing what they *think is right in their own mind . I dont see that changing in the USA as our spineless Government doesnt care, is filled with Offenders itself, and the Mega-Media is too big of a Monster to reckon with. I would however, love to see some Singaporian justice come to America.

I agree with you...exploiting another as if they were a piece of desired Meat is pathetic. Especially when walk in abortion is dependent on the pastime of sexual hedonism, and of course, vice versa . Over here , we rip to pieces about 4,000 developing americans while still in the womb, PER DAY with 95% coming from sexual hedonism gone (further) wrong. Yet Hitler is seen as a Monster in America --- how hypocritical . The consequences of out -of- control Sexual Immorality is very far reaching in a society .

Sex is a natural part of being human. You can only make it dirty or wrong in your mind.
If it offends you, don't partake. However, I suspect your problem is that you have lost your soul to the temptations and you want it all in every form you can get it. That is the difference between you and normal people who ignore the propaganda that attracts you and usually find long term partners where sex is satisfying so not that big of a deal..

Sex is natural , yet it requires a sacredness since its the most intimate side of a person. When its abused, consequences follow. Its not that sex 'offends me' ... its that Others irresponsibility with it offends me . How come youre apathetic to what is immoral ? Or, do you expect me to be tolerant to every form of immorality that ruins a nation ? Its the propoganda lie that casual sex is perfectly permissable and has no consequences -- the results of this vice in america doesnt bother you and im wondering how you came to settle for apathy .

it's apparent that voluntary self-control is on the wane. there are reasons for this development, and i do think the hypocrisy filling the space between prudish lipservice and hushed up excesses needs urgent, but adequate attention first. from all quarters of any society, imho.
