Hi people!
Do you base your moral code on Fear or on Love for God?
in my opinion and very personal view of God, he's just pure love so just loving him is the way to go because that way you are acting on your own free will and not because you fear a punishment.
Its never been a fear of punishment for me..even when I wasnt practicing my faith...it was a fear of not having a relationship with God..being out of fellowship with him..I hated that..put me down as LOVE def! Children dont love their parents out of fear..my daughter doesnt jump on my back and climb on me and give me a hug because she fears me..

but i'd love to know your opinions
God bless you all
Fear of God is actually only respect, a fear of displeasing Him BECAUSE of your LOVE for Him. One needs the other.
Neither. If there is a god he did his part by creating me. From there on it is up to me to act in the manner that I deem most proper. God has nothing to do with it.

You took the words right out of my mouth.
