Maybe you should have included the word "some" and put your quotation marks around it instead, Troll

First things first, this priest is a moron. Secondly, you are asking the wrong question. Instead of trying to slam the entire Christian faith, which is what it sounds like to me from the title of your thread, you should be asking "Where do people in general learn their morals from"?

I have been friends with people of all faiths and denominations (and atheists) and have learned that all people have different values and convictions. And most of everything is learned from family upbringing more than religion.

Do not slam the Christian faith based on the actions of this dumbs**t! It is a weak position to take.

The same place we all do - from the distillation and refinement of hundreds of thousands of years of human tribal laws, tempered with logic and reason.

Good Afternoon,

The above post by MrBlue Sky truly speaks volumes regarding the thread subject matter and of course their are other considerations.

May we carefully consider the tremendous impact of positive parential guidance and training upon the impressionable child for many years ... and it's enormous significance regarding morals and the calculated natural proclivity of those specific children to follow through with these most familiar and cherished moral guidlines.

And then of course we may consider the unparalled substance and influence of the Biblical examples from the Christian Church upon the child whom is intermediately and or actively involved for many years. Once again it is undeniable that the child will without a doubt receive an abundance of good and positive morals to guide them through this unpredictable world of ours.

"Morals" .. It is a curious thing indeed for some of us to fathom why that so many folks among us are absolutely "Horrified" by the mention of this very word. Also when the term "Christian Morals" is mentioned these same folks apper to become acutely frantic with "Uncontrolable Fear" ! Why ???

And yet there are special times in folks lives when they arrive at a certain crossroads ... or reach a mindset that influences them to predicate an entirely different attitude regarding how important positive "Morals" are afterall.

When it comes to Christian Morals and following the examples set forth within the New Testament much of which is authored by Jesus Christ himself one may at last deduce that if all people on this planet were obedient to Christ and His teachings ... the "Pernicious" & dying world we live in today would simply not be a reality ... would simply not exist at all, and in it's place love for all mankind and peace would reign supreme ! My God wouldn't that be a blessed and most welcome change from our world of today !

The "Moral Compass" is vastly important and the unprecedented lack of even the most basic morals by so many folks on this earth is why we are witnessing such enormous levels of festering evil, ubelievable decadence and shocking destruction.

Jesus said : Take Up Your Cross And Follow Me !

Based on the most apparent "Pococurante" attitude of the masses these days there are so many folks whom will never have the opportunity to even begin to take up the cross ...............

The true lack of "Morals" in America ... These Days !

Thank You & Mery Christmas from Lamar

Yes it speaks volumes. Volumes of truth. All morals (including "Christian" morals" which are merely repackaged humanist morals) come from man.

Perhaps because so-called Christian "morals" have wrought thousands of years of ignorance, death, bigotry and hate opon humanity?

Of course, none of the morals attributed to the mythical Jesus were ever authored by him (or the men who created him). The "golden rule" etc were already well established moral teachings in Buddhism and other philosophies long before Jesus was ever dreamt of.

Christian morals may have some merit...but looking to them for examples is disappointing.
All people make mistakes.
Not everyone feels a gnawing conscience when making mistakes.
Those who are 'forgiven' by Jesus must not apologize to others, nor feel that they have wronged anyone and therefore avoid feeling humiliated.
The unfortunate part is that Christian morals are not developed nor refined by the human conscience.
