quoting from your bible doesn't change that Christianity is man made (thanks to Paul) and it has its own rituals.

My response is Christianity does have its own rituals and each denomination has rituals specific to that denomination.

"Flight of fancy" that Paul created Christianity as he thought it ought to be? Or that different denominations have specific rituals?

So what are you trying to say? That Christianity has rituals, or that demon nations have rituals?

Pure escapist internet mythical gobbledegook, that.

Lately many believers declare that, instead of religion, they have a 'personal relationship' with god or Jesus.
Is there a difference?
Religion is a tool that we use to help build that relationship with God.
For some people religion becomes their god.

Many believers say that instead of religion they have a personal relationship.
It seems that they can't really explain themselves. This thread has them stumped.

Do Christians really have a personal relationship with Jesus? Does it really matter, to outsiders? Are their critics eager that they should adopt ritual? Why do they criticise?

To the contrary. Several good answers were given:

There have always been those who have broken away because they are discontented with established religions.

I suppose it's not for me to speculate about why or how the breakaways do it but I don't see much difference between 'personal relationship' for theists inside or outside their churches or whatever, except that, outside, they might discover a bit quicker that what they are having a personal relationship with is the insides of their own heads.

huh?
many great, rich, detailed answers have been given

a person's unwillingness to listen, and inability to understand, however, may prevent them from hearing what others are saying
