The problem with this forum is that on one hand you have hatefull anti-Catholic bigots that try to portray the Church in the worst possible light, going as far as to misrepresent what Catholics believe, and on the other hand you have Catholic apologists that tend to look at the Church through rose color glasses.
For one thing all the hateful anti-Catholic bigots here, and I know I don't have to start naming names you know who you are and so do the rational people that come here know who you are, should go straighten out your own houses of worship because from where I sit it looks like many of you are worshipping in a pigsty.
I was raised in a Catholic home and educated in Catholic schools, and many Catholics have blinded themselves to the horrible abuses of power some priests and educators in those schools and churches practice. The are no rose colored glasses that are strong enough to remove the stink that seems to be endemic in the priesthood.
The major gay rights groups remain silent on the transgressions of their members. The Vatican has condemned this behavior and eradicated it from the their ranks. Yet these perversions still persist among homosexuals in the secular world. These homosexual groups are given a pass and not held accountable for the behavior of their members even as children are continuously being molested. This is not pretend nor am I a parrot that repeats news stories. My vision is 20/20. The plain truth is that homosexual molestation is a perversion endemic to homosexuals, not Catholics or the Catholic clergy. This behavior persists and is given carte blanche within the secular schools.
The Catholic Church addressed the legal aggression from the secular world years ago, but this is a story that is recycled year after year for shock factor at important Holy times. All the while secular homosexuals are allowed to continue to molest with no mass identification of the perversion endemic to their persuasion.
The question here in this thread is where do we go from here? You go after the major gay rights organizations and sue them for the behavior that is endemic to the people that they represent and procure justice for those violated.

These stories about abuse are being rehashed from the 1960's! They bring this up every year around Holy week to keep the sheeple as secular as can be with these fear tactics. This homosexual abuse issue is not so much as a Catholic problem as it is a homosexual issue. The rate of sexual abuse is much higher in the secular schools than in Catholic schools. We only hear about the abuse from the Catholic schools because it fits into a larger agenda of taking the name of Christ and the moral law out of the western lexicon. How ironic that the only major western institution to properly label homosexuality as a perversion is targeted for persecution for the behavior of the homosexuals within their ranks. This behavior is not a reflection of Catholics or the clergy but ipso facto of homosexuals. If people were abused by homosexuals they should question the major homosexual groups and the homosexuals themselves to account for their perverted actions.

How about injecting some "facts" into the debate rather than trying to lay the blame on homosexuals? What you are doing is no better than those involved in the cover up of the abuse.

Perhaps you'd like to see step by step how people like theologians like Timothy Daily of the Family Resource Council have completely misrepresented and lied about studies to support their rabidly anti-gay claims? No doubt they think people who read their rubbish are too stupid, lazy and bigoted to actually track down their sources and realise what they are claiming has no basis in reality or fact.
