Why does religion always make requirements in real life, while all the judgments are in the afterlife? Didn't religion describe afterlife as eternity? Then, you can fulfill religious duties in the afterlife since that's longest time forever.

You avoid having to have all punishments/rewards in this life. That lessens the desire to create an earthly utopia and all the horrors earthly utopian regimes tend to bring. It also can allow for greater mercy as not all punishment needs be done in this life. (I think even some Universalists believe that there is like a "cleansing room" before everyone goes to Heaven)

Still it's not like afterlife belief religions having nothing to say on this life. Or how to be better in the here and now.

Granted I realize you were not intending this as a question or discussion, just a crude swipe.

Religion is also a hypocritical cover -- believers are always good -- that made everything right.

Religion removes individual moral accountability.
