No, but you do. God will not reveal anything to you in prayer that is contrary to the Bible.

Third, other than Paul declaring himself apostle to the gentiles, by what authority does he speak? Yes, we all know of his claims while on the road to Damascus, but other than that, what is there? Religious people claim all sorts of things, yet do we form the basis of faith around it? How do we know that any of what he said happened at all?

I can't help but think that what Jesus intended transformed into the "Cult of Paul".
In Acts 15, you see that Paul met with Peter & the other leaders of the Church. It appears Peter, James, and John accepted Paul's mission to the Gentiles.

The argument is incoherent. If energy is eternal, one doesn't require God. God would be incapable of creating something that is eternal--because by very definition is has no beginning and no ends.

Baptism and the eucharist are discussed in the Bible and we're commanded to be baptised and take eucharist. But the actual baptism and actual eucharist we take are not The Bible. Performing these and other rituals in themselves can help us become closer to God. They are not contrary to the Bible, of course, I'm not trying to make any claim that other sources of coming to know God will contradict what is written in the Bible. Since I believe it was inspired by God I don't think I don't think any other source for coming to know God will contradict the Bible, properly understood. But the Bible makes no claim to be the only source for knowing God and I don't believe it is. Another example -- the Bible was cannonized by Bishops of the Church, so clearly the teachings and traditions of the Bishops would be another source for learning about God and how to lead a Christian life.

I won't disagree with you. However, anything that is contrary to Holy Scripture, even if it comes from a church leader, is false teaching.

how come the bible dosent talk much about God?

how many pages could you actually write down that say's--"God",said?

is there any description of what He looks like?

does it tell you what pastimes He is into?

does He have freinds and family/brother's and sisters?

does He have an eternal consort?if not then how do yo now?

thing is the bible dosent actually disscuss the God topic/their isnt much in there about Him,and we should be able to write more about Him than any other living being.

Sort of...

2 Peter 1:21 states, "No prophecy was ever made by an act of human will but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God."

jimmiej, I have a book here that says I'm the King of the World. For some reason, I don't think anyone will accept that claim.
