We ascibe any additional meanings to our lives, but that is the basic "meaning" all of us have. What is the "meaning" of a wolf's life? Why should you assume your life has any more cosmic importance? We live on a speck of dust on the outskirt of one star among billons in the galaxy which is just one of billons of galaxies. In the cosmic sense we are little more than ants on an anthill. But you can make your life meaningful beyond surviving and procreating. Some find meaning in helping others, raising good children, and loving their family while finding a balance between work/pleasure. Others find meaning in believing an all knowing being sent himself as his son to die to save others from rules he himself created. Neither has greater comsic meaning.
