Religious answer is: life is a preparation for afterlife judgement.

That's how religious life is.

Okay, I know the religious answer, what I am looking for is your own voice. I have nothing against religion, but I just dont want us to hide behind it. What are you true thoughts. Be honest if you can. What is this all about for you?

Love my friends and family, help others and enjoy the short time I have here. Once it is gone it is gone.

Our meaning is whatever meaning we give it. Evolution's meaning for us is is to compete successfully. I think we can devise better meanings.

meaning1. Something that is conveyed or signified; sense or significance.2. Something that one wishes to convey, especially by language: The writer's meaning was obscured by his convoluted prose.
3. An interpreted goal, intent, or end: "The central meaning of his pontificate is to restore papal authority" (Conor Cruise O'Brien).
4. Inner significance: "But who can comprehend the meaning of the voice of the city?" (O. Henry).

Clearly by definition, your question doesn't make sense.

meaning is what? taking for granted what is all there seems to be possible?

but purposes could be created, far beneath the chances of getting to a meaning.

to touch people deeply, to entertain them. to possibly write songs and sign them to kids who might be just as lonely or afflicted as I am sometimes.

Meanings of life: how about "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness"?

Life: spending money and time on religions is a waste of life.
Liberty: fear God, fear lake of fire and smoke in "afterlife" will loose one's liberty.
Happiness: enjoy doing things you like is better than praying all the time.
