hi all,

What are the consequences of doing adultery? Indeed, God's punishment in the life in this world and more harmful punishment in hereafter .let us to read ….

There was a city in old Italy where its people were doing adultery and homosexuality and they were so proud with that. Also they used to draw pornographic pictures on walls in front of all people; researchers believe that art of pornography started in this dissolute city. {1}
What was the consequence of doing that? And what was the end of those people? What is the start of their story?

Since ancient Pompeii catered to wealthy Romans on holiday, I'd have to assume that the as punishment for their indiscretions, they were given a far reaching and wealthy empire.

Perhaps a better lesson to draw would be not to build your town, pious or not, at the bottom of a volcano.

Ha Ha! I'm sorry but it's funny. If there is a "punishment" then it is std's....and that is not a spiritual thing...unless there are spiritual bacteria and viruses....

Aha!!!!! I suspect you are using logic where it will not be appreciated. I suspect that some people are more concerned with the power of some supposed retribution, than they are geophysics.

I made a vow to my wife, 40+ years ago, and I have honored that vow. No deities involved.

So with Allah, are you just SOL or is there any chance of forgiveness?

I say this because with Jesus we have God's grace. We can sin and then realize we really messed up. We can say " Lord I really screwed up, have mercy on me. And thru the forgiveness found in Jesus, God will say yes, I forgive.

Is such a thing found in Islam?

The consequences of adultry are broken marriages, broken homes, and confused hurt children..Seems to me that the adulterer is the one doing the punishing..not God ..

The adulterer suffers from the backlash of his own chosen actions in this life not from any punishment from God in the next..

I believe they can turn it around and if they are a believer will feel the peace of forgiveness from God..

Forgiveness does not equate to salvation.

One can be forgiven by Jesus and still spend eternity in hell, but at least they can cherish the thought that they were forgiven.

OMG! Are you being serious or joking? I don't care if I am forgiven or not since I don't believe in the god that's in the bible....but your statement here in priceless!
