So a killer should not be punished since he/she took away a pointless entity. Hitler shouldn't be portrayed in bad light?

Of course killers should be punished. How the hell are equating killers with whether or not life has a 'reason'.

Because from your ideaology, killers don't seem any different from those who work in slaughter houses, cut trees, treat termite problems etc.

Huh? What the.....!! What are you not understanding here?

Q. What is the purpose of life?

A. Why does life have to have a purpose? We are here... and we have no specific task or purpose. We do not exist in order to complete a challenge. We are her for a short time and then we die - and a planet that doesn't give one fig for our passing - moves on with someone new on board.

You're confusing "purpose of life" with "value of life".

Quite! I don't understand what he/she is finding so difficult about this....other than looking for some way to introduce a 'god-given purpose' for being here.

But how could anything have any value when it has no purpose?

Exactly. We assign a purpose to life (some greater purpose after life) because we are afraid of the alternative. Our own instinct for self preservation needs us to believe in something "greater"

We, as a society decide right and wrong. Look at how values (moral behavior) have changed over history
