I searched, didn't find anything for this area. We've got tons of poison ivy in Ohio, and I've seen poison oak in California.. I believe it's not present in at least the arid parts of the Reno area. Maybe some poison oak up in the Tahoe area?

No poison Ivy 'Toxicodendron radicans' in the West
No poison Oak 'Toxicodendron diversilobum‎' in Reno, Nevada, or the Northern Sierra. Generally it is found below 5,000 feet on the West slope.

A few other things we have that I do not remember many of from my time in Erie PA, are a lot of yellow wasps, black wasps, yellow jackets and black widow spiders.

I'd expect to see wasps in Erie, we have them in northeast Ohio.. quite a lot of them. I don't think we have black widows in Ohio.. but brown recluses...yes...
