I agree with Ace. As a LL I am much more inclined to do what I can for a good tenant over a bad one. However I recognize that a tenant who always pays on time does until they don't. And then I start the legal process just the same.

As for the OP's problem. This should be handled by the LL. Confronting other tenants can lead to long term problems. Offhand I'd say the LL fell down on his screening process.

Anyone who is considerate of others would recognize their noise would bother people. If I was moving into a new unit and was going to pound nails for pictures or move a wall... I would go around to the other neighbors, introduce myself, let them know what was up, and how quick I would be done.

Unfortunately many people just don't have manners these days.

thanks, i appreciate it. theres just some people who DO NOT care or know how much noise they make. which in itself is just careless because it means they only worry about themselves to a fault. in the future, i would not ever rent a place if the landlord told me he takes section 8 or welfare. its just so many problems waiting to happen. i now am in another complex and have no problems to speak of.

Wow..you sure do read a lot into a simple post. I was simply stating a fact. Looks like you're the one with your knickers in a knot. Take a pill.
