i've seen a handful of not exclusively senior apartments and townhouses up for rent in the area and i've heard alot about it being ridiculously quiet.

is it true? and if so, is it worth moving to one to avoid all the hassle living anywhere else might bring?

Only you can answer that question, in regard to what you value and what negatives you are experiencing where you currently live. "Ridiculously quiet" is not a bad thing unless you tend to make a lot of noise.

"Is it true"? I don't know how we can determine that with any certainty, but I suspect it would be quiet in most cases. Depending on what recreational activities they host there.

I can easily imagine this being desirable after reaching a certain age, if you are uncomfortable where you currently live and don't see any other more desirable locations in the area where you want to live.

I know some boisterous seniors, and some that keep their radio and tv up loud, so it's not a given that it will be ridiculously quiet. It will be quieter than a family complex or a place full of college students though.

I'd go for the senior complex in a heartbeat if I could.
