I never talk to my landlord, I met her one time when I viewed the place then one more time when I got the keys. After that, I have not spoken to her since. I have been in her condo for about 7 months now. Is this normal? Any other places I have at least had some sort of a communication with the landlord everynow and then. Maybe it is normal..

It's normal if there are no problems. Maybe the LL has done a drive by and saw no need to bother you. I've had tenants for long term that I never see or talk to. They pay the rent, outside looks fine and they have not called me for any repair issues. I can't see any reason to wake sleeping tigers.

I do have exchanges by email with my tenants every few months. I let them know about any issues in their condo communities (landscaping, exterior work, etc.). Twice a year I have the furnace/HVAC serviced and at that time I come in and check faucets, doors, pour drain cleaner down the drains, check toilets, garage door openers, etc. so I let them know we are coming and ask if there is any maintance issue that we should address while there.

So, yep, I think its kind of weird you haven't heard from the LL.
