We have a realtor to help us find a place to live while we are relocating. I by myself find a house to ask her to include in the list to show us. After she showed us all 8 houses, we liked 2 of them. The she told us that one of the two, which is also the one I found by myself is her son's house. We like the house, but now due to the conflict of interest, i'm not sure if it is worthwhile. We will be renting for one year.

Why? What makes it any different than any other place you looked at?? What conflict of interest??
I was going to post here with advice, but since we both have accounts in this forum, I find it a conflict of interest and I will not be participating on this discussion.
You found the house by yourself, you said. I don't see how it is a conflict of interest. If you like the place, then rent it. If you don't, find something else.
I have a couple rental properties in Baltimore that I actively lease on my own behalf. Of course I disclose everything up front and in the listing but it really shouldn't make any difference. Realtors (and their kids) own property as well and some are smart enough to cut out the middle man and represent themselves.
If anything you may find it to be managed better than non licensee property as our names in the community are far more visible and out there.
But if you found it yourself and liked the place enough to place it on your shortlist before knowing it was her son's house where is the conflict of interest? The only problem I could see would be if you wanted to go in with some lowball offer or with excessive requests maybe.
The important thing is if the son is making the payments, as with any other rentals nowadays. Realtors were a lot more prone to the slaughter.
