Black wire to black wire, white to white. I used the plastic electrical caps to keep the wires together. Mine were wall sconces so once I added the plugs I just screwed the lights into the wall, and plugged them in.

Lauriedeee you did a better job explaining than I. That's exactly what I did, but with a chandelier. I got the extra cord (the part with a plug) at Home Depot.

I also "swagged" the cord over to the side of the room and covered the entire length with chain, so it looked nice...not a naked cord running along the wall.

The technology to do those things exists...
I read an anecdote yesterday about a guy changing channels on the TV his wife was watching from 30 miles by his phone (just to mess with her)

The questions are about interconnection between the various appliances and fixtures etc... but I'm not conversant at all.
