Any rental that meets the rent amount limits can qualify for section 8 if the LL allows it. The limits are such that a rental at the average, going rate in the area, DOES qualify. We have had multiple section 8 tenants over the years in a variety of rental properties. Some of them are duplexes, true, but some of them are very nice houses.

Correction... It's not Section 8 providing the homes... it is the Tax Payer through HUD.

Section 8 has some very nice homes... everything from beautiful new Town Homes and Condos in San Francisco to very nice, nearly new single family homes in good areas...

All units must meet Housing Quality Standards prior to Move-In and subsequent inspections.
