Oh hell, my old kitty would get in the tub with me and swim around like it was her personal sqimming pool if you let her. You seriously had to shut and lock the door, or she was in the tub. I once started running water to take a bath, and when I went in there to get in the tub, my bath was already hijacked!

I'm thinking that too. One of the old school cast iron tubs would be really hard for kitty to damage. I have seen the old claw foots in animal pens, and they are in pretty good shape.

The problem is that even if you win in small calims ;you still have to collect which often is the case. It works that way for landlords and tenants in cases.Even then all small claims courts in most states are not courts of record ;so there is a automatic appeal on filing the required fee.

Hmmm... haven't been back to this forum in a while. I spoke to an attorney that works for my property management company, and he said that what I did was definitely defined as a repair, not an alteration. The tub was not altered, because it does not look different then it was when I first got it. I didn't say, have them reglaze it pink instead. So, I proceeded to write a professional letter to the landlord stating all this. I got my deposit back in the mail the next day. Bounce, maybe the vendor you used wasn't a very good vendor?? I however, used a vendor that I know does a good job and provides lasting work, as they have provided the service time and time again for our company.

And, I did have the warranty transferred into the landlords name, just in case. So, I guess there's the answer for that for people dealing with this in the future....
