We are renting from the Meadows at 3099 Kirklevington Dr in Lexington, Ky. These owners are making us live like we are on the streets. They won't fix anything and made us stay in our apartment when the sewer line busted under our apartment for five months before they fixed it. Doctors bill from my family from having nose bleeds, headaches, and weakness. Three of our vents don't put out heat or air, and I've told them about fifty times. Boards on the floor are unleveled and the walls look horrible they painted over the tape instead of taking it off first. The HVAC unit been here since 1977 and runs our electric up to $300-$400 a month, and Kentucky Utilities stated it should only be running between $150.00-$210.00 a month. Along with the light sockets, the plugs falling out of them and the apartments are not insulated at all. In three months I paid $1100.00 and some dollars for electric for the winter months, which is ridiculous. They have tenants moving out continuously as we will be in August of this year. I would not refer anyone to these apartments. I am in the process of trying to find a lawyer that will help us on all these problems we have to go through.

Sounds like the place should be condemed. Call your local housing department and/or code enforcement. If they find the home uninhabitable, you can move out immediately.
