Did they just suddenly appear one day as fully formed adults in the USA?
Of course they have a credit history. Do they have work visas?

What sort of job? A good one? Does it pay at least 3 times the rent?

If they otherwise look like good candidates and it is not prohibited by your state, I'd ask for a deposit equal to 3 times the rent. This gives you additional protection if they default on paying the rent.

It is a recommendation, you don't have to accept it unless state law dictates it.

Thumbs up first, last, security

That's 3 month's worth.
It doesn't get any more certain than that; renting can go south with anyone.
They are from Germany.
Probably be the best tenant's you'll ever have.
I say go for it.

Oh....I see, Thank you. That is common in Midwest. I think the LL should rent to those that match their qualifications. No rental history or credit report, risky imo. 3 mths rent is nothing when it takes a fortune and months to get a bad renter out.
