We are looking to buy a home in Jersey City, NJ some time next year. We heard there are up and coming areas but don't don't which ones they are.

For example, some people say property near Licoln Park or Libery State Park is better now a days. While others say something near Journal Square is good. The only problem is the price difference between Journal Square and Lincoln or Liberty Park are huge. The closer we get to Journal Square the more expensive it gets (to the point where it's out of our price range and if we could afford something, it would be to small for our family.)

So we have been looking at property near and in between the 2 parks (sorta)...is there a boarder line?

Does it get sketchy as we head furher south (Jersey City)? We didn't go that far yet.

Is one park better than the other?

Thank you in advance.

This forum addresses basic landlord tenant issues. You should post this in the NJ state forum.

The safe areas in Jersey City are Journal Square, "The Heights" and downtown, thats pretty much it. but STT Resident is correct, more information will be available in the jersey area.
