It isn't that at all. Good credit shows personal responsibility. People who are responsible tend to make better tenants all around.

I would add to what everyone else said and say that if we are talking about perfect tenants, I'd strongly prefer no pets.

The title said tenants, but the actual question was applicants

I accept pets and prefer them over children. In my experience people with pets care for them and are cleaner then those with children. Even the one with both. The pets and pet areas were spotless, the children's area was left filthy.
