Everything seems to have worked out! I met with the property manager. After our final room mate signed two copies of the lease, we were given one of them with a sheet of important information (including the name of the property manager, the super, and two email addresses that go to everyone in the company). These people seem much more competent and I'm very optimistic about living in an apartment managed by them. Thank you all so much for your help! Now all I have to do is finish unpacking...
