Oh, easy...because the OP heard some workers speaking another language and ASSumed they were all illegal...not sure if they had the team shirts on or not, he didn't answer my question regarding that.

The OP is pissed because he had to pay late fees...well, pay your rent on time and you wont' pay a late fee... I know that sometimes that just seems like such and easy and logical answer, but if it was that easy we wouldn't have threads like this!

I was surprised they were not fixed when we moved in so I documented it (photos; descriptions) When I reported the defects so she could send a repairman her response was "A good handyman such as yourself can take care of those things"

Its not like we live in the ghetto, this is Huntington Beach California....Surf City USA

Under California law you can use the repair and deduct method if the landlord does not respond to your properly documented repair requests. California Tenants - California Department of Consumer Affairs
