Hi, does anyone knows what's the acceptable credit score? I received a letter today that i was accepted at 525 west 28th street.
my score as of today is 648, how can i improve my score??
If you were accepted, why do you need to improve your score?
Public housing usually don't require high credit scores. They do often have a debt maximum. For instance, they may not want you to have more than $5,000 in bad debt.
If that's what your problem is, you can file bankruptcy to get rid of the debt. If you are low income, you can do it yourself and get all your fees waived.

Pay your bills on time and in full. Pay off old debt. Don't file bankruptcy...it's not worth it unless your in lots and lots of debt (think 6 figures here) and that kills your credit for a long, long time
