We haven't called yet but I'm talking to my husband about it today. Going on day 2 now of the frozen pipe. Here's the kicker of the whole situation.. You'll never guess what my landlord does for a living.. HOME INSPECTOR.. aint that just a hoot..wonder how many bribes were given out to pass this place
Oh good grief! HE'S a home inspector?!?!?!? Geesh! I still hope you call the town and see what they say, actually, with him being a home inspector, it might be a good thing to talk to the town and see what they have to say - especially if you mention your landlord's name!
Seriously, I hope you get things straightened out - at least it's supposed to warm up, so hopefully your pipes will unfreeze!

Well good news, after much well use the word complaining because the other is banned here he finally got his hiney over here, insulated the pipes and replaced our faucet cause we got some kinda of green sludge lodged in there from the pipes freezing , and unfreezing , I'm thinking when the ice got pushed up in the pipes it scraped the side of the walls and took all the sludgy build up with it.. YUCK!! so HOPEFULLY this won't be happening again. I'm running the water all night tonight to see how it works.. I'm so tossed up on what to do with this guy now, about reporting lol cause in all fairness he did fix it! UGH the joys of renting... Lord give me strenght!
When you say you are running the water, you are just letting it drip, right? You don't need to have a steady stream of water to prevent the pipes from freezing.
yeah its a drip, a fast drip though to keep it moving.. just didn't make a difference for two nights though, it seems to be better now that this "heatwave" has hit us!
