I have. Did it yesterday and also today. She got the message once. Floors are squeaky in the bathroom and kitchen and in front of the door. Manager says that's how they all are. But every time it's right beneath my couch where I use my computer.

I'm doing my best not to. I have waited a few hours each time in hopes that the noise will go away. I called the office and explained everything to them, including my stomping and my reason for doing it and that I waited until a few days had passed to start it.

Innuendo is not a first language here.
OP, women complain less if they're regularly banged.
Bang away.

Never mind. By banging I thought you mean stomping. I have done the STOMPING, not what you are implying.

Are there any moderators on this site? Seems as if this thread has gotten out of hand.

Why don't you invite her up for a wine cooler?
That should break the ice.

OP, you are just as ridiculous as your downstairs neighbor. Civilized people introduce themselves to their neighbors, they don't pound on the floor. Knock politely, introduce yourself, and TALK TO YOUR NEIGHBOR.

Sheesh.

Oy. Remind me never to live in an apartment building, unless it's just 1 storey.

OP, when you give a public forum "too much information", a few jokes might pop up about it. It's a human nature thing.
Back to your dilema... while there's usually a "quiet time" after 10pm when tenants are supposed to turn the volume down on their TVs, not vacuum etc, there's also something called "reasonable expectations" when sharing walls. This lady downstairs sounds unreasonable, and if a downstairs neighbor told me to take off my shoes, I'd tell her to take a hike! She needs to get an upstair apt, or a single story apartment, mobile home etc.
Talk to the manager and let them know you've tried to be accommodating, but you can only do so much. Dont start a broomstick war.
