I get a multi-hundred dollar fine if my tenants don't clear the snow off the sidewalks before 24 hours are up. The tenants know it and know I will give them notice to move if they don't do it.
There is a movement to try to fine anyone who has noxious weeds in their yard. That one is going to be fun if it passes. I can barely get tenants to mow the lawns. The fine for that one is also multi-hundreds of dollars.
